Not everyone will understand your journey. That’s fine. It’s not their journey to make sense of. It’s yours.

Differences should be appreciated

Your preferences are just that, *your* preferences. They are not a universal standard. Variety & options are a good thing.

Just because someone doesn’t share your affection or dislike for something doesn’t mean they deserve to be mocked or ridiculed because of it. And it doesn’t make them your enemy unless you choose to live like it does.

Differences should be appreciated, not used to further fragment a world already severely suffering from a lack of love, unity, and support at nearly all levels of human existence.

There’s still a place…

There’s still a place for decency. For kindness. For respect and tolerance.

There’s still a place for integrity and generosity. And goodwill towards others.

There’s still a place where we can inspire hope and build the kind of world we’re proud to live in.

And it begins in each of us.

Telling people what you plan to do

Reminder:

You don’t have to tell people what you plan to do. You can just do it — or not do it. Especially if you have a habit of contradicting yourself.

The same applies to making emotionally triggered ultimatums that may not be adhered to when you’ve calmed down.
