Not everyone will understand your journey. That’s fine. It’s not their journey to make sense of. It’s yours.

True leaders

True leaders don’t waste time trying to convince others of their importance because they know that their leadership skills are demonstrated by how they act and how they make others feel, not by how highly they speak of themselves.

True leaders are far more likely to make others feel important than they are to spend time trying to convince people of their importance.

What kind of person do you want to be?

Who we are today is a result of all the decisions we’ve ever made in life. Whatever we wish to be in the future depends on our present actions. To become who you wish to be, simply determine how that person would act and then, little by little, act like that person.

Actions are harder to fake than words

An honest enemy is better than a false friend. When in doubt, pay more attention to what people do and less to what they say. Actions not only speak louder than words, they are more difficult to fake.

“Lieber ein ehrlicher Feind, als ein falscher Freund”

“Better an honest enemy than a false friend” — German Proverb

How do you know what you know?

It is not until we take the time to question who we are, what we know, and how we know what we know that we begin to truly find ourselves. And it isn’t until we’ve deliberately distinguished ourselves from our influences that our genuine self is revealed.
