In February 2013, it had been over a year since I’d shot anyone<\/a> — and two years before that one.<\/p>\n

I found myself in Las Vegas missing the experience, so I put out a casting looking for people to collaborate with. That’s how I met Joanna. She didn’t have any modeling experience, but those are often the kinds of shoots that I enjoy shooting most.<\/p>\n

I have found, many times, that models with a lot of experience become set in their ways and are more difficult to direct because they go on autopilot<\/em> rather than remain present and work in the moment. As such, shoots become much less collaborate — and collaborations are what I appreciate the most.<\/p>\n
