This was intended to be a black & white-oriented shoot, but I was really happy with how the color shots came out.

Samsung Galaxy S3

Although I’d been snapping photos with mobile phones for years — and I really felt like it helped me work on my composition sills — I was always nearly always disappointed with the quality of the images. And then I got a Samsung Galaxy S3.

While phones have gotten even better since 2013 — and I can always find room for improvement — that was the year (for me) that the quality of phone photos became much less cringey.
